| The importance of voice exercise has been known in all traditional cultures. Native Americans have the Naught Whal, which is a study of sounds. Tibetan and Chinese cultures use voice as part of their healing and initiation rituals. Yoga has vocalizations and hand positions known as mudras, and there is one for each organ of the body. Voice Power Yoga uses a combination of vocal and breathing techniques to stimulate, awaken and energize the 24 organs of your body. This in turn, strengthens and enlivens your voice, because vocal sounds resonate in the entire body, not just in your throat. Voice Power Yoga vocalizations are similar to the chanting of Om in a yoga class, and utilize a glossary of words as triggers to strengthen the resonance of each organ in your body. |
